'06 W203 P0410 - Vacuum hose diagram request
I am trying to troubleshoot an '06 W203 V6 P0410 problem. Does anyone have the vacuum hose diagram?
I am getting codes: 0810 & 0814 from a carsoft MBII scanner. --Secondary air injection on left and right bank of cylinders.
thanks
In fact, the old change-over valve tested good too when i applied +12VDC to it.
I also replaced the secondary air-pump relay just for the hell of it. --Old and new tested good.
Cleaned everything with carburetor cleaner.
I tested the actual secondary air pump by feeding it +12VDC volts, and it definitely works.. Blows alot of air, more than I thought it was capable of!
What else can I test? Everything seems to be in order, but the dang secondary air pump is not turning on during cold starts.
Yes, relay was checked, 40A fuse is good.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Testing/troubleshooting this is fustrating, because the circuit is only activated during cold start.
My question is: is there a way to fool the engine to energizing the relay for the air pump (without STAR)?
I'd like to test for voltage at the pump. Or better yet, is there a way to fool the computer to thinking the temperature is lower than it actually is? --Where is the engine temp sensor located?
Would testing at the relay socket at the front SAM be better? I did replace the relay and the relay tested good outside the SAM.
The the way the ecu detects a air injection fault is by checking O2 sensor values. So all you need to do is supply power to your air pump and actuate the switch over valves and with your scantool have a look if your o2 sensor voltages go to a lean condition. If there is no or little change then the ports in the head could be restricted with carbon
In other pinout diagrams I've seen, would this be called the 'Air pump relay control'? --I am seeing this pin commonly as D-38 (4th cluster of pins from left to right, pin #38) and gray/gold color wire? Can anyone confirm?
Does anyone have a definitive pinout guide for the ECU on a 2006 W203 C230 V6? I suppose i could use my multimeter or toner to trace the wire but hoping to save some time as my emissions are due and don't want to fail on this.
