Squeeky front springs

My front springs are squeeking like nuts. Anyone run into this and is there a fix? It started about 10k miles ago. I have 79k on the car now. It is an 2002 C240.

I just figured out my left turn signal contacts are shot too. :-(

Thanks

Eric

If you're referring to the really annoying squeak similar to the sound of a boat rubbing against a boat dock everytime you hit even the mildest bump, it might be the front control arm bushings.

I have about 20K miles on my car and I just had the dealer replace them under warranty. The repair order doesn't have an amount on it or I'd give you a dollar amount for the repair.

It was so bad that I couldn't drive through a parking lot without attracting everyone's attention.

mine's squeeking all the time and I only got 27k miles on the car. don't have time to take it in for service as I'm in school everyday. will take care of it after the final.

similar issue

I just started having this problem recently, 35k miles on my 2001 c240. Hopefully my warranty is still good.

Woops, looks like I clicked new thread instead of reply. Sorry for the confusion, feel free to delete this thread.

It was suppose to be in reply to the squeeking front suspension thread.

I had that from new. Apparently the wrong grease is in there and it "washes" down to where it is too thin. The new goop is so thick they use surgeons gloves when putting it on lest they spend all day cleaning it off.

The turn signal contact is a loom defect and should be upgraded on both sides.

Same applies to this lame "rear globe" blown error and "number plate lamp" blown error.

All well known faults that can be easily fixed.

Does this mean that he now has to make no less than 5 spelling mistakes in a 3-word sentence? :o :o :o
