3rd gear: 76-79 MPH

4th gear: 105 MPH

5th gear: 130-132 MPH

6th gear: I don't know...ran out of road at 140ish.

Her name says it all. But trust me it is not broken in at 1700 miles. The engine starts performing much better at 10,000, and better still at 20,000.

So long as she warmed up the engine before flying it will be OK. But damm woman, big brass ones

German model says ~150 with the manual. Don't know about the US version. Probably lower due to our wonderful ambulance chasers and insurance companies.

I got it up to 140.....but by then my road was a slightly downhill slope, so maybe that had something to do with it.....

You are hilarious! But in that car it feels like you're doing maybe 90-100 max. Nothing was rattling, shimming or shaken. There wasn't even any more road noise than my normal freeway speeds.

FYI, the fastest I've ever gone in a vehicle piloted by me was 158 and that was on my street bike............that's my adrenaline machine....the car was/is nothing compared to that thing!

When speedos (get your mind out of the gutter you sick puppies ) get up that high the initial tolerance/error gets multiplied and they are not very accurate.

Are you talking about the car, the bike or both? (FYI, I was clocked on the bike doing 158, I couldn't tell you what my speedo said because that wasn't a priority to look at at the time....lol!)

nice~ That means we need 4 gears to drag... The 05's are longer actually... I don't even know what speed the 04.5's go up to in every gear... I think first gear is like 24, 25...

i got my automatic to go up to 132 many times last year. Hey andy... haven't we all discussed this many times before ? .
In fact I think a couple of the guys calculated what the top end would end up being if the VMAX was disabled.

its amazing how smooth the c230 is a high speeds. I have taken mine up to 125 and the only thing you notice is cars are going by faster and a little noise from the mirrors. I do believe mine is speed limited at 135.

When i had my mazda i took it up to 100 and it felt like the parts where going to start flying off lol

calculate the max speed? can't just go by gear ratio... what about drag coefficient...

not really, i know 1st is like 25. i most of the time go from the sound of the engine. the problem with first gear is if i gun it, 25 comes up finds fast and the next thing i know i have to shift. i wish 1st gear was like 30 - 35mph. oh well!

First grear is really close i love the surge of power when you shift into second though .....I drive when i am in a parking lot in first..i love that sound
