MBZ extended warranty any good?
BTW, I've search but didn't seem like the extended warrenty was from MBZ so that's why I post as a new topic.
Thanks.
If they bought this car new (you didn't say), then they have 1 year to decide if they want the warranty or not. After that they can not buy it.
For a starting quote, go to the MB dealer in Chico, CA [use the MBUSA website to locate them]. The F & I manager there [who used to be Lisa, may have changed] should be able to give you a quote that will be among the lowest in the country. It should be under $2000 for the full 7/100 coverage.
My selling dealer in Sacramento CA agreed to match whatever price I brought to them on the warranty, so I got it from them at the lowest price; I can't recall the exact amount, but it was under $1800 for a C240.
Let's say that my parent decide 2 years later that they want/need this. Is it possible to go back to the dealership and ask for it?

The last car I had that was a bit of a lemon in the first year is the 1989 Peugeot 405 I still own. She had lots on minor trim/electrical crap failing in the first three years, but from then on she's been nearly infallible. 16 years on (built in July 1988) and 320,000 km (198,700 miles) behind her, she's still going strong and will probably keep going another few years. No major repairs at all, even has the original clutch...heh heh the benefits of double clutching...
Thanks to all who reply.
