swap from c230 1.8L to s430 v8 engine?

Can be posible to swap 1.8l c230k engine to a s430 v8..i have the whole s430 car from a side wreck but engine and trans work great.... because my c230 engine die..

I believe the c55, same vintage as a c230k, had a larger engine compartment to fit the v8. Pretty sure it's documented somewhere on this forum.

wait, what? are you sure is not plug and play using the same bracket without any tweak to the car ECU and suspension ?

1999 SLK 5.5L 6-speed, 1993 300 SE
The engine will physically fit. You will need custom motor mount brackets. You will also need C43/CLK430/55 exhaust manifolds and down pipes, and you might need to move the steering box down. depends what year your C is.

Look at crossfire guys who do the swap and also my swap on SLKworld. the short story is - go standalone, it will save you sooooo much hassle, and I already have a tune you can use.

I've never heard of a steering box on a W203 before. Do tell?

No need. I got confused. 202's had the steering box. Already having a rack and pinion makes the swap much easier.
