Help, Please
Well my car finally broke down. I was on my way to Taco-Bell, when suddenly I heard a thumping noise from the rear of the car. I pulled over thinking I had a flat tire, but to my supprise all tires were fine. So on I went to Taco-Bell. After that, I drove to a gas station. Right when I pulled in the station, my shifter poped out of gear and went into neutral. When I tried to put it in gear all of a sudden the whole car made this huge clanging noise and I could hardly drive it. Later, when I was parked I tried to put it into reverse, and it sounded like the whole rear end was going to come off. WTF??!?!?!
After an hour of frustration, I called a towing company and had the come to the gas station and tow the car to the dealership. When the tow truck came, I instructed him how to tow the car, but like a fool he said "I know, I know". Then, I got in the car and was instructed to line up the car with the truck. Just as the "arms" of the machine were going down to hoist my car upwards, the mis-calculation of the "driver" cracked my whole bumper (pics soon). Next when we were about to leave, I asked him why he was towing it by the two front wheels. Guess what his reply was...." That's how you tow FWD cars"!!!!!!!!!!I am so mad because I don't have any warranty left on the car (54,000 miles). Is there any powertrain warranty? I don't even know what the hell is wrong with it!!! Any help would be great!

Check the hydraulic clutch fluid, that's the easiest thing to fix. It could have a leak somewhere. Also it could be motor/trans mounts that shifted the motor enough to pop it out of gear.

Well, it's at the dealer right now. I hope I don't need a new driveshaft or something expensive like that.....I'm praying that it is something cheap!

I remember my uncle told me years back.
"A Benz is a nice car... until after 50,000 miles then all hell breaks loose. Just as they planned so you go back and buy another one. The warranty stops at 50,000 miles for a reason or else they would go out of business with free repairs."
I guess I will see what happens down the road.
