Besides a repaint (if it's serious), you can ask the dealer to put a little touch-up paint at your next service.

I usually curse, kick my dog, yell at the kids and sulk all day. Seems to work for me. There's not much you can do once it happens outside of repainting the hood which is not cheap. You can reduce the chances by putting on one of those clear bras, it works real well on my truck.

it's gonna happen again and again. unless the chip is real big, I would just forget about it.

what i normally do is fill it in with the correct paint and then i wet sand and buff the area. i always like to do that because after you can barely tell.

1. Clear bra: $400 from www.xpel.com, find a local installer (any tint shop should beable to do it)
2. Fix it yourself, buy the pen from www.autovisuals.com and Langka
3. Wait until you get a few chips in the same spot and just get a re-spray done of that area, much cheaper than doing the entire hood
4. Wait until you do some modding and need some painting done, and get it all done with a discount

I usually just throw a little fit and then get on with things! I have 4 chips as of now...once the number reaches closer to 10...which is probably on a few months away I will repaint.

Put some touch up paint asap , at least try to fill the whole thing so you don't get surface rust.

If some surface rust starts showing you can use a 3m fiberglass pen you can buy from walmart that you can use to scrape away the rust.

I'd love to have just 10. I counted before summer began, 30+ on the hood alone.

Yeah, my bumper and hood have had quite a number done on them. Pock-marks everywhere. Don't really feel like getting it repainted because it'll just get this bad again eventually...
