..2004 C230 Kompressor Sedan deal..

So I've inquired about obtaining a purchased/financed C230 Kompressor Sedan with Lighting/Entertainment/Sunroof/Auto Trans. I want the 05 because of the new look inside but the dealer I am dealing with has many 04s left over and is willing to deal on them. Here goes:

04 C230 Kompressor Sedan with the above mentioned options for 31K out the door meaning including taxes and all versus the 05 with the same options but a 4 week wait for Bordeaux Red for 33K out the door...

Mind you my budget is around the 32K range. Would you settle for the 04 or go over for the 05 and will it really be that much of a difference?!

And I know it says I drive an 04 E320 but it's been given back to my dad becuase of my skyrocketed insurance rates so now I must get a Benz of my own in which I can afford..

Thanks much

there's no suspension difference between the 2004.5 and the 2005 as far as I know, so if you don't really care if the interior is different and want to mod the car, the 04 is better way to go. If you want the new one ask them to deal the 2005 for more discount. I don't have it, but if someone has the C-spot coupon, you can ask if they want to give it to you.

DaCeptak0n-

Your dealer should be able to do much better than that, especially since its an '04. I picked up my '05 C230SS with the options you see in my sig for $31,965 + TTL, almost a full $4k off MSRP. Just negotiate.

Good Luck

The price you got, 31K out the door is actually pretty good, my guess is that invoice on that car is about $35.5K (w/metallic paint) and your are getting is for about $28.5 before tax/lic/fees and it's very rare to find one with the lighting package. Keep in mind that 2004 comes with 4 years free maintenance, at least a $2K value, the 2005 does not. The suspensions are very different between the two. I drove both, back to back, and the 2005 is much harsher yet doesn't appear to handle any better than the 2004.5. It's a tough choice as most of us would agree that the 2005 looks better but is it worth the difference in price and free maintenance, only you can decide that. I can tell you that I chose the 2004.5 as I didn't want to pay more than a certain amount and I love the free maintenance.

Make sure you get a Love Tour or C-Spot coupon, that's worth another $1,500 off the total price......

My brother is decidin between a TL Navi A-Spec and a G35 Sedan with Sports Pkg and Navigation so those two, which I wouldn't mind either are out of the loop of choices. And god knows when he'll be makin the decision. These C230s are hot! And I wouldn't mind drivin one after havin been allowed to rip one in a test drive..

2005 C230
I say, buy the car that you like the most. That's what I did. Afterall, you should enjoy the car you drive and never settle for anything specially over a thousand bucks, which if you finance the car will only turn out to be a couple of extra dollars a month over five years.

You get the $1,500 coupon when you attend the Love Tour. Register at http://www.lovemercedestour.com I'm going on Sunday in San Diego, don't have any intention of buying another MB (just got one 2 months ago) but the Love Tour coupons are not transferrable, so don't count on getting them by asking on the forum.
