Personalized Vanity/Custom License Plate / Tags for W203/CL203 thread
Call me vain (that's a joke, get it?), but I like vanity plates on my cars, as long as I can think of something reasonably clever (at least in my mind), somewhat self-deprecating, and related to the car itself (I once had one of those "Kermit the Frog" green Del Sols, with "GOBLIN" plates). I figure that I have a little more than a month until my Coupe arrives, so I may as well get the ball rolling now. The car is - of course - Orion Blue.
So far, all I can come up with is "STUBBY C", or maybe just "STUBBY". "SHORT C" isn't as good. Anyway, variations on this theme are all that I'm getting. Any creative, witty people out there willing to help a brother out?

I've been trying to think of some myself. I'm still driving around with my vanity plate from when I owned an Infiniti G20 back in '91! But, it's hard to beat -- keeps people guessing, and since I work w/ computers too, it seems appropriate to keep....
1 DIV 0 (1 divided by 0 = INFINITY!)
Actually, it was written up in a Washington Post column a couple of summers ago when someone spotted it. They had a game of guessing the car which had a vanity tag. Turns out chief justice Rehnquist wrote in stating it must be an Infiniti. NBC actually did a spot on the Today show (sans me!) w/ a math professor discussing whether it really means "infinity". I was waiting to get on the Oprah circuit, but it never happened. :p

Mark, shouldn't you be getting royalties? :p
If you're going to put "STUBBY", you might as well put:
GENITALHERPES
Young, while I appreciate the MB-BOB joke (is there a bad MB-BOB joke?), he plainly said that he's got an Orion. Put down the beer.

Lil C
C Me (?/!)
Do U C (?)/ Do you C
Can U C (?)
HI C
Rye C (Only if you actully have a lot of "ricey" mods)

Sigh
Not too many good ones, I'm afraid. I like "GREMLIN 2" the best, especially since I once owned one of those things. "C YA" is also interesting, buy I doubt that it's available.
Tommy, I'm afraid that I don't get the herpes thing. I suppose not having my mind in the gutter 24/7 is affecting my perceptions somehow.
Looks like I've got the best vanity plates that I'll ever have already, but they don't match the new car at all. Maybe I'll just go for the random, DMV assigned plates.

A lot of states have resrtictions on how many letters you can put on vanity plates, but here are a few quips:
2CRNOT2C
CMEGONE
C4ME
BENZC
W203C
C230K
AMG4ME
AMGWANNAB
BRABUSC
C U C ME
CYAL8R
C NOTE
BABYBENZ
MY MB
MY C
CCCCOUPE
dCx
Of course, you could always get a bumper sticker that says something like "When I grow up I want to be an S class"

Out Of Control!!
Mapman, thanks for the analysis of my mindset. Unfortunately, you're right.
My comment was directed at using a vanity plate to describe size of anything in a less-than-perfect light, as it will not be understood by the vast majority to apply to your car instead of you personally.
Reminds me of when Kramer got his "ASSMAN" vanity plates on Seinfeld.

For those in California or even those that just want to see it on a plate you can follow the link and type in what you want your plate to read and view it.
