Stealership offer for those looking to buy. It still sucks to me but others will love

Email I received

Dear Andrew,

Maybe we're crazy, but the Penske Internet Team has been challenged to break its all-time one-month sales record in August. What does this mean for you? It means we're taking all reasonable deals and giving top-dollar for trade-ins, while still providing the honest & transparent service that earned us the #1 JD Power Customer Satisfaction Score in the Los Angeles Region for 5 straight years.

Some examples of August Internet Specials:

2004 E320 Wagon, lease for only $499/mo + tax (45 month term; 45,000 total miles; MSRP of $53,380; $3,500 drive-off plus first payment, tax, title, license, and dealer fees; requires above-average credit.

2004 C230 Coupe, $1,000 below invoice

2005 C230 Sport Sedan, $500 below invoice

2005 E320 Sedan, $500 below invoice

2005 ML350 SUV, $500 below invoice

Those prices are competitive, but I know another dealer that can do better than those numbers in the local vacinity.

These numbers stink!!! My point in posting this was to prove a point to a few people that anything over invoice is a bad deal here in California.
$1750 under invoice on the 2005's is easy to get.

I'd rather see out the door price of cars. Maybe you could give some examples of prices instead of $XX below invoice. You know actual prices.
Tks

CALIFORNIA vs. the rest of us

WoW! I wish I lived there!!!!!!! What makes Cali MB dealers so competitive with pricing? That kind of pricing would be unheard here in CT unless you were dealing with an outgoing model...

Do the math..... a discount on invoice from the start will lead to a great sales price if you know what you are doing......

You could only get those prices here in Philadelphia with a warm gun in your hand.
