The Truth about Netherlands Setting
how do I set it.
thanks
Here is a link to Youtube with my newly set beep. This is the "USA with buzzer" option which is different than the Netherlands setting. Panic button still works as well.

This is a link to a video Moze made a while back showing his car set to the Netherlands setting. Panic button does not work with this setting and the beeps are longer.

Enjoy!
(btw, does anyone know if its possible to embed a youtube video right into your MBWorld post?)

You mentioned that you might be coming up to NYC in July. Is that still true?
I'd like to get some setting changes done (Netherlands, fuel gallons remaining, etc) done.
If not Sunil, anyone know if Steve is coming to the US, and specifically, the East Coast sometime?

But if they do make it to NYC put me on the list for a few items

could it be a different fuse for the alarm beep and panic siren?
the tech set my car back to us and the panic works.
my 04 ML350 had same problem... can't program!

They got it to work, and I still have my Panic feature enabled. The only thing, is that the beeping is the newer sounding beeps (the 3 fast beeps vs the older 3 slower beeps). Problem is, is that I prefer the slower beeps from the older W203's.
It seems as though the 2006+ models have the newer quicker beeping, while the 2005 and older have the slower beeping. Mine is a 2005, but because it is such a late build '05 (04/2005 Bremen build date with the production # VIN of: F712503), it may have already been programmed with the fast beeps that come on the 2006+ models.

mine is the 3 slow beeps, and my panic still worked. I didn't even ask them to change the settings, they just replaced my faulty alarm!
Funny thing is my loaner car - which was a C230 - had it enabled.

that's the number of people that will have a different opinion on how loud your beeps should be.
