How to Launch my C230SS manual?
Ok, I have no problem spinning the tires with my old FWD 2K2 Maxima, slipping the clutch at 1st gear around 2000RPM will do the job.
However, C230SS is my first RWD and with less HP(and torque).......I'm having trouble launch this car from a stop, without jerking the car too much. Normal driving I can do just fine.....but launching the car from a stop really troubles me........can anyone give me some pointers?

no, I didn't disable ESP when I tried to launch the car......but I ravved it to about 1700RPM......is that too low to get a moderate launch? (Btw, I didn't think 1700RPM would get the wheels spinning for the ESP to kick in, I was expecting a "chirp" from the tires though.
I heard from some people that owns some Nissan 240SX's that said with RWD cars, all you have to do is raise the RPM and "dump" the clutch?.......but I didn't want "dump" the clutch and burn the cluch. I'm so use to slipping the clutch a bit then let the front wheels spinning, then I let go the clutch fully then I go WOT. Is it the same with RWD drive cars? Is it the same kind of driving style with RWD cars?
P.S. I'm not trying to ruin the engine, I already put 1500 miles on the Odometer already (carefully break-in) and had my first shceduel maintence two days ago. I just want to know how to get a moderate launch from this car.

disable ESP of course... also 1700 is too low. I used to do 3000 clutch drops on my Z to launch it. Be careful it might bog down if RPM's too low... just practice and see what works.

Also, at launch a car squats, transferring weight from the front to the rear. As a result, the front wheels have less traction, whereas the rears get more. So, it is generally easier to spin wheels on a FWD car than on a RWD.

And you are absolutly right about the weight shifting from front to the Rear Wheels, which it gets more traction and harder to spin the wheels......I guess i'm just not use to RWD yet.... , traction is good, but spinning tires easily is fun too. Hopefully i'll get the hang of it soon~

I checked the maintenance log book and there is a 1500 mile service, I don't think they do much, just to check that everything is running correctly.

He He, I don't spin the tires as much as you think.....but atleast I like to correctly launch this car (Spinning the tires) Instead of Burning the clutch.
My owners Manual indicates 1000~3000Miles for first scheduel maintence, but since its "break-in oil" for the first couples thousand miles, I like to replace is with new ones, its a free service after all. =)
Also at 6500miles I also get a free Tire Rotation, but my rear tires is wider than the front, how are they going to "rotate" my tires??
