"A" Service

My C240 is just under 50,000. I had the B service done at 38,800, when I had it done it said I needed A service in 10,000 miles, now it is saying it still have 2,700 miles before it needs A service. If I take it to the dealership tomorrow will they give me a hard time about that or will it be covered (for the last time)?

Thanks,

Missing my beloved Benz
They shouldn't... I did the same thing with mine, and they were great.

All depends on the stealership. Posts about mileage pre FSS vary widely. Did you ever buy them donuts? Or send X-mas cards. Lot of this brown nosing might help.

out of curiosity....

i guess i could call and ask my service advisor.... or "do a forum search"... but.... my 240 is comming up on 30K.... about 500 miles away...... in a few weeks its going to be my 3rd "A" service. ive never really asked what the service actually includes... (besides oil change) anyone know?

2nd question..... ive been told the factory recomends oil changes ever 10K miles.... my stealership states every 5K.... what have all of you done?

10K or 5K

A lot of stealerships will try to make some extra cash this way. Doing it like this will screw up the FSS because of the oil parameters it looks at. If its at no cost to you and they'll put in writng, guarantee, that ever service will come @ 10k intervals; do it. Otherwise follow the FSS.
Who are you dealing with? Aristocrats? If it isn't too far maybe you'll want to try Sunflower in Topeka.

Last service before warranty ran out

I just had my last service a few weeks ago. I was comming up on 50k miles when I called to schedule the service. Since they were booked up for the next few days and I told them I was taking a long trip it was going to be over the 50k by the time I got it in there. They told me since I called in before it was up and told them what the milage was at they said it will be covered. I ended up bringing it in 1k miles over the warranty. Guess I have a good dealer in my area ("Wagner". West Boylston, MA)

Aristocrat told me every 5k is the way to go. Is this who you are dealing with? Remember, Jay Wolfe just opened up on 103rd in KCMO, so Aristocrat has local competition now. Call them and see what they tell you.

I have been very happy with Aristocrat, never one problem with them.

yeah arisotcrat is who i deal with..... our family has purchased several cars from them and weve had a number of problems with them....

-24hr roadside assistant guy not wanting to come out an unlock my car.. (ive posted they story under "locked out of my car"
-forgeting to fix things that i specifically brought the car in for service
-the other day my service advisor told me that they cannot re-program an extra smart key for me....... "can only do it if smart key is purchased from us"
-says the bi-xenons can not be put into my 2002
-and im still waiting.. (almost 2 months now) for a tow cover that was supposedly ordered for my e320 w124 that they lost when it was last in for service... he told me that a rock may have hit it and it fell off.. yeah right... (only comes off if its removed.... )
- he loves the rock story...... my temperature gauge is acting up on my w203... he looked for the thermastat in the hole in the bumper... it wasnt their... so he said a rock must have hit it and dislodged it... asked him if fixing it was under warrenty and told me only if the thermastat is broken and needs to be replaced its covered... but if they have to fish it out and and re-install it in to its correct position... its not covered???

.... ive been going to aristocrat for 9 years and things really havent changed.... sometimes i think that because im young they dont take me serious..

their loaner cars have gotten better... they used to give people ford escorts, windstar mini-vans.... and geos....

owe... and they have recently (im thinking w/in the last year) hired a pretty good looking cashier....
