Where can I get them? I checked ebay, but no avail.

I am very impressed that MB put so much value in this small car and they did a great job on every details inside n out. Only thing bothers me is the amber corners, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, one more thing that bothers me is that it's very easy to cross the red line on low gears, which I didn't expect from 'sport' sedan.

yes 1st gear is very short.

go with the euro rub strips and dont worry about clear corners. they look so much better than the clear corners. best part they are OEM parts.

Steve has them with chrome for the sedan and without for the coupe. plus they come pre-patined from the factory!

no, but neither is a clear lense with a blue light. think about it. what are the chances a cop would know you are missing that light. it looks like it never existed. its clean. chances are you wont get caught. ive had mine for about 14 months and never had a problem. its a subtle change!

i paid $120 for euro strips for my coupe. sedan strips may very due to the chrome.

i figure the cop would have to be pretty bored to notice the missing lights. ive never had a problem and im not loosing sleep over those stupid amber lights either. having the little red lite in the rear side markers is federal law as well, i have euro spec tails and dont have the red side markers either. hell im not allowed to have front window tint in california and i do. plus im supposed to have a front plate and dont. i guess when they do get me, it will be one big fix-it ticket!

I love those euro rub strips but one problem that I see is that if you have an accident and it turns out that the person you hit OR HIT YOU notices it, they can get you for negligence and since the car isn't complying with federal law and therefore isn't legal to be on the road, the insurance won't cover you. MMM, I think I'm going for the clear lens (even though I'd love to get those strips).

wow, thats alot of oversight into the euro strips. im getting rid of my euro strips, just to put euro strips with PTS sensors on it next month.

I learned from when I had to put an airplane into the ocean many many years ago. The insurance company didn't want to pay because they found in the maintenance logs that there was a piece of equipment that has to be inspected every 24 months and it had lapsed 1 month before.

The federal regulations say you can't turn it on it if it's not inspected and since it didn't have to be on for that specific type of flight, and it was turned off, SO NO VIOLATION.

I won the case 1 year and many $$$ later.

They'll look for anything so as not to pay your claim, do you want to risk it ?

Sedan strips are about 150. or you can get the evosport ones where it just covers the lens via pre-painted peice. its about 90.

honestly, if we want to sit and be picky, the clear corner lights aren't legal, either. If they don't have the DOT stamp on them, they're just as illegal for on-road use as the euro strip. blue/amber/green whatever light you want to put in them, it's still illegal, but I seriously doubt anyone (aside from the import-hating, recon-ticket-happy HPD ) will give a crap

If the same lights were on an acura or honda, they would be ticketed. When on a Mercedes 99.9% guarantee a warning, if that will be issued. How many people here street race their Mercedes? Prob slim to none because of how much everyone paid in the first place. These little lighting sections of the vehicle code were made for the select few. I would not lose any sleep over it.
