With all the technology advancements today is there anything out there now to add hands free bluetooth phone to the factory radio that works with the steering wheel controls? I don't want to use an aftermarket radio. I just got this C230 and while I enjoy the car the lack of a bluetooth phone is a little annoying. Thanks in advance.

I had previously put in of those FM transmitters that plug into your cigarettes' lighter. It was mediocre at best. Last week, I put in a Sony Carplay unit. The reception is better, the music sounds AMAZING now, and it has all of the modern features of a newer ride. I did it for when my daughter starts driving. Do yourself a favor...bite the Bullitt.

I believe people have found success with Parrot.

Also, perhaps check the sticky?

I must have missed that one.

My fix was a little more expensive... and the bluetooth works great. Guess I need to go troll the E350 forums now. Thank you for taking the time for your replies.

I’m assuming you no longer have the w203?

This was the sticky I was referring to:

THAT sticky... yeah I tried to go through it but fell asleep half a dozen times. 375 posts dates starting back 12 years ago didn't seem relevant, hence my leading comment about technology. Plus I had just fixed the delaminating screen on the factory head unit so I didn't want to waste that money by putting in a complete new system although it might have been the way to go originally.

And yes, the W203 has gone to another owner. I hope I don't regret it. The E350 seems like a boat in comparison, not as nimble or solid on the road. Plus the fact the E350 has started life in my ownership with the dreaded fuel tank leak doesn't bode well. At least that is under warranty.

Who knows, if I don't like the E350 maybe I will find the C350 or C55 which I was originally looking for...

Agree.
sometimes I regret not stretching for the C350 manual...

There are some other threads on this in the ///AMG forum.

Installing the OEM system was simple, but tracking down the little armrest plug/receiver is tough...

Enjoy the E for now!

This does indeed NOT belong in the W203 section, but I could not find you in the W211 Forum.

Wonder why you are having such a big fender gap on your E350? Mine is a lot smaller and the car appears to sit much lower than yours. Perhaps yours does not have the Sport Suspension?
Based on your earlier comments, mine with the sport suspension is a nice (if not nicer) to drive as my sons C320. Definitely way roomier.

I was asking for a W203 fix that the W211 took care of. I will search the W211 forums for suspension stuff. Mine DOES have the 952 Sports Package listed on the build sheet. And lots more room.

If you have the Sport Suspension, I do wonder why it seems to sit way higher???
