Autoshow where they hand you the keys! CA,NV and IL
One minute you're stepping on the accelerator of a Corvette® down a speed course, the next you're taking a HUMMER® H2® off-roading. If the vehicle can do it, we're going to prove it!
And you can do it all with no pressure to buy, so there's nothing to slow you down. The only thing we want you to do is drive what you like and have a great time doing it. AutoShow in Motion – The world's only auto show where we hand you the keys. If anything you can really appreciate your MBZ after driving a GM. Currently only in CA, NV and IL. BUT I'm sure it will continue other cities next fiscal year. Enjoy!

Just did a Road & Track event last weekend for Subaru. That was fun, professional race car drivers critique your driving and then show you how it's done.

I'm sorry I offended you "Wingless" but all I was trying to do is give an opportunity to people like me who love cars, especially MBZ, to have fun and drive other cars for free. I participated in both C-Spot and IloveMBZ Tour and had a blast. So whenever I see an opportunity to drive someone else's car I'm there. And I'm sure if I you get a consensus from other guests on this site they would agree too. Again sorry if it looked like I was peddling something. If I would give you the keys to a brand new C6 Corvette and told you to drive around a track as fast as you could I bet you would.

I've always wanted to go to a BMW driving event. Are they really strict about keeping out non-BMW owners though?
Are there lexus driving events too?

So if the consensus is that members should undercut the business plan for this site and should disregard the contributions that the sponsors make, some may find that disappointing.
My response to this GM dude hawking his wares was a question. There is every indication that the theory that there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers, has not been proven false here.

maguzma is not trying to sell GM vehicles but was alerting car enthusists of an opportunity to beat the crap out of some GM vehicles with little or no recourse :v This is laudable behavior and not something to be censored. :p
However and to the point, it is your on line attitude that needs adjustment and thus my reference to ceasing your "police man" attitude. You should lurk and get a feel for the lay of the land before you begin tossing insults and your opinions.
As if!

I try to make it to the BMW event when they are in town. Their event actually is very good (all out driving with a professional instructor on board). Several years ago, they would have a 3 series, 5 series, x5, etc. but this year`s event was a X3. I truly enjoyed the X5, but not the X3. Since the new 3 series is coming along soon, next year's event might be the new 3 series (they do tend to let you run in a car that has not been intro'ed in the US).
Even though I do not own a BMW, as long as there's space (the spots tend to fill up quickly) they have been able to accomodate without problems. Also, even if the event is full, go early and you can get ona wait list. Keep checking their web site for start of registration.
