Hey everyone, my 2005 c240's steering wheel is beyond done. Replacements from dealer are $1k+ so that is not my preferred option. Google has turned up little in the department of used Gray steering wheels so I figured I'd reach out and see if anyone had any advice for replacement. Thanks!!

I find eBay to be pretty good, believe it or not. Do you have the three or four spoke wheel? Color code?

4 spoke. EPC says Dark Alpaca Gray. Color code: 7F07
I have come across 1 or 2 used on Ebay that I'm waiting to hear back details on.

I did a quick search of ebay and saw the couple you may have inquired about. Make sure they get you the color code. I bought three for my tan W211 and two for my black W211 interiors before finding the right color, not realizing the code doesn't lie. Shot-gunning for correct colors is not all it is cracked up to be.

A quick thought... have you pulled your air bag off to see the steering wheel part number so you can perfectly match it? Pretty easy, takes about 10 minutes if you have the right tools.

i have a 4-spoke steering wheel in the W203 Fl and i will replace the steering wheel for a 3-spoke sporty. However, I am interested in whether it is possible to program the steering wheel gears in some way, because I now have a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Yes you can have the shift buttons coded using SDS.
