No aftermarket will work. You'd be better off finding one on here in the classifieds if available. HTH

BTW

hey do you have suggestions on getting one that works other than the dealer? Or even a single cd player that works and looks like a factory radio?

Isn't that the same question, rephrased, as your first one about aftermarket?

If you are interested in an MB indash AM/FM/CD player that sounds way better than the factory cassette radio let me know, I have one for sale for $225. It's way easier to install and way cheaper than a CD changer. Also I prefer having the CD accessible rather than trying to change a CD in the glovebox while driving.

If you are or can get to So Cal I can install it for you at no charge.

I am interested. Do you have a pic of it? do I lose the Cell options and station memory buttons that are on the original radio? Really would like to see it. I am in Miami. Do you ship?

This is a pic of it.

It's a Mercedes radio so most everything works (CD Changer/Bose/Steering wheel controls/instrument cluster display). What doesn't work is marine weather band but instead you get long and short wave radio, equally useless. You can't put in the U.S. phone kit but you can put in the less expensive euro phone kit that uses a Nokia phone or the UHI universal phone kit that has several handset choices. AM frequency stops are different than U.S. so may lose some AM stations but in LA I get everything I want like the 2 all news stations, 1070 & 980. FM and CD work just like anyother radio. Also you get RDS so for stations that support it you will get song & artist name. The best part is that is sounds much, much better than the cassette radio. It has much better bass/treble. Setting the cassette radio to maximum bass is like the Audio 10 bass set to 5.

Audio 10 is basically a single in dash CD player. It replalces the cassette deck. Oh man the sound improvement is amazing!

Stop Noble, you'll make me miss it. Comand is about half way in between the standard cassette radio and the Audio 10 in sound quality.
