Engine swap options for my M272 2006 C230 sport 6speed?

So I have a 2006 M272 2.5 V6 W203 C230 sport 6 speed STOCK and I’m looking for engine swap options for more power mods… will a M272 3.5 bolt in the same as my 2.5? I’m assuming the M113 won’t fit without fabrications correct me if I’m wrong I’m looking for a swap with minimal fabrications…

-Thanks-

Yes swap in the 3.5. it's exactly the same engine just more displacement. your existing ECU won't have any trouble running it. I'm assuming you know about the balance shaft.

THANKS 💪🏼😎 And I assume I can only pull it from the C350 model type 203? What about the M273? No I don’t know about the balance shaft? But any information would help… I’m new to Mercedes I’m a JDM guy but I have a good amount of maintenance to do to this car I’m the second owner and all the original owner did was oil changes… I bought it with 117,000 miles and now have 123,000 miles

The ideal choice would be an 08-09 w211 E350. Uses the same oil pan and exhaust.

I wonder if getting a C55 with a bad transmission or rear end damage would be a better project with all of your OEM manual parts…

That’s what I’d be shooting for…

(why does your Mars red car have mixed matched wheels?)

I can’t find a C55 for nothing in this world! I even tried looking on Copart for a crashed one and nothing still… what if I get a C55 from clip would that be a possibility so I can get the M113 in my C230? Or what other front clips can I use to get the M113 in my car? I saw the guy who has the M103 in his C230 and that’s dope but it’s a lot of fabricating… and changing the front clip is probably less fabrication

C55 front clip is straight off a CLK. Any CLK front end bolts onto the W203. The easy swap is to get a whole CLK500. You don't need the CLK front end to fit the V8. It's been done without.

I understand the fenders are unique to the C55 however...

Any updates? I am curious too. Thinking about picking up an engine and doing the swap. Would help if someone already did it so I can avoid any pitfalls.
