Yes, they are OEM. I got it at the dealer, about $50 for one. I'll take some close up pic and post them later...

Do you have to modify the door panel at all (or any other part of the car) or do they just clip on?

The shades are nice, but the Everest green and Java are fantastic.

You bet it's a nice combination. The green paint is great. It's SOOO nice to see a C in something other than:
1) silver;
2) black and its variations.

Dare to be different when ordering your C, everyone

I thought I was daring to be different when I ordered Orion last August. That was before I discovered the mbworld forum, and I didn't know that tommy and David N. were promoting it to anyone and everyone.

I did not see a brochure until I sat down with the sales rep to start filling out the order form. When he asked what color, I said Everest green. "Not available on the coupe," he said, " What other color." I replied, "Citron". Then he told me that there is a $1000 special order fee. Since I am approaching the upper limit of what I wish to pay for a car I selected Orion. Then he asked which interior color. "Java," I said. Not available on the coupe, either. Ok, Charcoal.

I really like the Orion and Charcoal, but the Orion and Java would be better. I've seen this combo on an ML, and it is great. The best combo for me would be Everest green and Java leather. But MBUSA thinks it knows what I want better than I do.

Very sharp! Nice to see shades that are made to fit the window. Much better than the usual store bought shade.

I like these side window shades, and most here seem to agree. But that means you guys will have to stop riding my a$$ about my windshield "Shade" Same look to me...
The Shade

BTW: I have always LOVED the Evergreen/Java look, but just as hard as black to keep clean. Kudos, anyway.

Interesting idea. Don't think it would pass vehicle inspection here in NJ as it is permanently mounted to the front windshield. How much thicker does it make the A-pillar appear visually ?

You think that is the "same look"? I have to disagree. The back seat window shades look like they belong in the car. The accordion front shade looks like a "one size fits all" kind of thing.

With that said though, I know that a front shade is necessary (except here in Tx where it doesn't get that hot, right Bob?), and I have yet to see one that I would say is "attractive". I have yet to buy one, but I have a feeling it will be like choosing the lesser evil.

I agree about the Green/Java combo. It looks nice! Amost as good as Black/Java .

MB-BOB, I was checking out that webpage you posted. Has anyone thought about putting a "gripper" on their car??

BOB, the front window shade is OK - but I wouldn't keep it attached to the A pillar......just my personal preference.

the best solution is to FIND SOME SHADE AT ALL COSTS (especially in "hot as fire Texas"....did I mention the humidity) !!!

I'd rather park under trees with bird crap and sap then keep it parked in the sun.

the Noah MB car cover is excellent too...if its used...not just thrown in the trunk !!!
