I believe this to be a scam. Kinda like the one CBS News is now involved with. Something about a possible computer generated fake; hard to distinguish from the original. Notice he also mentioned that he would take others, implied name ones, and would sell them in his area.

I don't know if they cross reference the numbers with the names or not... but if they do I guess my idea is ruined. You people don't think pen ink is permanent do you? Imagine if you could erase the name the staff on the tour wrote on the coupon and sell the coupon to someone for money. Well I happen to know how to do that but forget it. I'll leave ya'll to have fun at my mother****ing expense!

yeah dude, they definitely cross-check the control numbers with the name that was registered at the "Love My Mercedes" Tour. These are much DIFFERENT than the C-SPOT coupons, which were basically a free for all, and sold all over eBay !
Could have worked, but MBUSA got smart about it. I'm sure there are other ways people are scamming these.
