Oil change Pull
I know we've discuss how often we do oil change for our cars before. But I want to see how often "we" do it as a whole picture.

Bump~ A lot of you do it sooner than dealer recommand, however I've try to change my earlier, but dealer was not willing to do it. Do you guys bring it to places such as JuffyLube or CarX to change early?
I was thinking if I should bring it to CarX "like" places and have them do it, but not change the Mercedes oil filter on the car. Is this a good idea?

No it is a very bad idea to change the oil and not the filter Is your oil getting that dirty? Why not get a coupon for a dealer oil change?

I have no clue how to change my oil. I bought three different car manuals and still have no clue. WIS is annoying, to me. I'm waiting until a christmas gift, AKA cashier's check comes my way and I'll take it to the dealership.

2005 says ONCE a year or 13,000 miles whichever comes first. It's sythetic Mobil 1 oil now and that's what I use on my power generator and it seems to do the job.

Actually, I've offer to pay the dealer for the oil change, but the dealer still wouldn't do it. They told me to look in my owners manual and come back when my odometer reaches the "correct" mileage. He also said they do services according to the manual.

I plan on keeping mine a while as well, and a $79 oil change is not hard to swallow. If I start going MOD crazy like you I will keep this thing forever!!

Every 6-7k for me.
It really depends on how you drive IMO. If you dont drive it hard and are never stuck in traffic then do what the moniter tells you.
If you punch it every stop sign and are in rush hour traffic everyday then I think 6k is better than going by FSS.
If the car is bought and you are keeping it for a while then 6-7k is a better choice as well.
