Short answer: Yes.

You should check in the Classifieds section, I saw someone selling some recently. Also, check eBay, there are a couple there. Also, search the forum, I believe in the C32/C55 forum there is a thread on the installation process.

Good luck.

if you want OEM BiX then get in touch with Steve at mbenznl.com ($1,500) if you want to go the cheap route then buy some depo lights off ebay ($250-known to melt) and a HID conversion kit ($250).

Quick Bi-Xenon Question....

I recently purchased an 07 with the lighting package. Supposedly the lighting package includes bi-xenon headlights.

My question is....what is the difference between xenons and bi-xenons?

I used to think that the difference was that bi-xenon's had xenon low and hi beams, but that doesn't seem to be the case......the high beams on the car are halogen. Did I get lied to or does bi-xenon mean something else?

Too many to list
Bi-xenon = hid/low HID + halogen high
Xenon=low HID + halogen high

There are 2 settings on the high beam lever. I don't remember exactly but if you pull the lever towards you, only the halogen highbeams turn on. But if you push it away from you (with the headlights ON), both the xenon HIGH and halogen HIGH will be ON.

Yes, in the BIX unit, there is a little motor that flip up the cut off shield to allow more light.

note: if you had HID single/low beam only it would resemble the HALOGEN LOW.
and the BIX HIGH

a quarter mile at a time
also the xenon lights were a reflector type lens whereas bi-xenons use projectors. When the lighting stalk is either pushed away from the driver or pulled towards the driver (pushed away sticks, pulled dosen't), the halogen high beams (normally the city lights) turn on, as well as the guards on the HID's move to emit more light from the low beam projectors.

Thank you all for the clarification......you are all much more helpful than the sales rep I worked with:

Me: Does bi-xenon mean low/high beams are both xenon?
Him: Noooo!!! That would blind people!
Me: So do normal high beams, that's why you don't drive with them on
Him: Yes, but xenons would be too bright....it's only the low beam.

I think you might be wrong on that, because I see alot of regular xenons use projectors as well (i.e japanese cars and older bmws).

Xenon Ballist Gone Bad

hey again everyone, does anyone out there know how to contact the infamous Steve on this site, I know my buddy purchased his xenons off him a while back. My reason for finding him is i'm wondering if i could just purchase a ballist for my driver side headlight.. Or can anyone point me in the right direction to were i can find one at a good price. I'm having a problem when i turn my lights on sometimes my driver side light won't come on, i mess around with the switch turning on and off my lights and after a few try's BAM they both come on. i'm almost certain this is due to my ballist gone bad.

switch driver side ballast with pax side ballast. if the ailment switches sides,
then you can reasonably conclude it's the ballast. right now, it could be....
or not (bulb, wiring, connection, switch).
