2. once the blk plastic cover is off, you should get easy access to the taillight. take off the bulb holder and disconnected the wire and put it aside.
3. locate the 4 bolts that secure the taillight housing. I forgot what size rench did i use, but you guys should find it easy.
4. once the taillight is off the car, now it's time to show your steady hand. You'll need some masking tapes (those paper ones), a blade ( I used my modeling blade), and some cans of tint spray and clear coat. when you are taping the lights don't forget to clean them first because you don't want the tape to gather dust and come off when you are spraying. The straight edge is easy, you can just lay down the tape, but for the round edge you'll need to use the blade to cut the edge (make sure you know exactly where the clear and red part seperates.
5. after the taping is all done, you'll need to cover up the rest of the red area w/ newspaper or anything will be fine too.
6. clean the clear part again to make sure there's no dust etc. Hold the spray can 3-4 feet above the taillight and spray over the part you want to smoke. Do it lightly and over again until you got the darkness you want. If you F-ed up, some rubbing alcahol should clean it up if you do it fast before the thing is dry.
7. once you get to the darkness you want wait till it dries a bit and then use the clear coat. Couple layer is probably needed.
8. let it dry and put everything back where it belongs.
note: depending on the brand of the tint spray you use you'll need to follow the instruction on the can. I used the paint called Model Painter 2949 transparant black paint.
