2003 c240 no crank nostart after small electrical fire drivers side headlight harness
2003 c240 . My kid pulled up, killed the ignition. 2 mins later smoke starts coming out of drivers side hood. Fire melted the hood release connector keeping me from extinguishing the fire quickly.
it burned all 5 wires to drivers side headlight. Fire also melted oil fill cap, power steering reservoir and plate on brake line junction box.
Replaced all burned items. Spliced a new plug and wire for light. New hood release wires.
Tried to start with freshly charged battery. No clicking noise, no crank . Only fan comes on . It will turn over jumping the relay. But still no start.
I also noticed no fule pressure even after cranking with jumped relay. Any suggestions?

Where in the world are you located? Might want to put that in your signature. Is your car LHD or RHD? Stuff like this would be helpful.
Does the ignition still unlock when the fob is inserted? (buzzing sound)

yes it does.
I also checked for spark and fuel.
None. It will crank when key is inserted and turned if I jump the relay . Dash will light up and fan spins full speed with key in and turned.
But no jumper ..no crank. Not even a click

^ You might want to put your location information in your signature (the section under your username), as this helps others know which version of the car you have. See the other users and their posts in this thread (including mine, under the picture) for reference.
The fuel pump primes itself when the key is turned to position 2. The sound of the priming can be heard (light buzzing sound, audible from within the cabin) for a few seconds underneath the rear seat, on the R side. I assume the fuel pump itself is fine, but isn't receiving the signal to prime. This assumption is based on the fact that your starter and fuel pump are both refusing to run.
I'm also assuming the starter relay is fine. Try swapping 2 relays (there should be 3 of the same model inside the front SAM iirc) to eliminate it as the culprit.
Check fuses 31, 52, 57, and while you're at it, upgrade fuse 57 to 20A.
If the problem persists, I'm wondering if you missed a damaged (cooked) wire somewhere. I'd look at the wiring between the ignition module (EIS) and engine management module. Take a look here for more information. Sounds like the key rotation (step 3) is allowed but the start (step 4) is not authorized.
I don't think it's the crankcase position sensor (CPS) because the fuel pump would be operational.
