Average Age of C-class owner revisited
Even in my late 30s, I find the C230 to be nice, but a touch on the dull side. I guess today's kids just have more money now, or parents willing to spend it on 'em.

Wow! I must really be the old man at 43 (next to last category)! But I wanted to mention that where I live, every Benz owner is gray and wrinkled. You can't even get a nod or a wave out of them when you pass. Mods, forget about it. I just yesterday saw one with after market wheels! It is a crime. I don't know what to think!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Either: the car is a steal in the US, or all you 'youngsters' are very rich because up here in Canada you need about $40,000 to buy one a new one (not including taxes), or all have huge debt load!
When I was in the 18-34 age bracket I was always buying used cars and finally bought my first new car at 36 (Acura CL). Now at 45 I am once again buying used...full circle!

Yes that is in Canadian currency, however salary's are about the same number amount as in the US so that makes the ratio to purchase here is very high, that is why our best selling car here is the Civic.
A new C230 with sport package is around $41,000 + taxes of 14%. In the US the car is $30,400 + state tax. Add in the exchange rate, the cost difference is $12,000 in your favour. For the same money for a sport C230 I would be driving a C350 in the US. (I would not be complaining that the car is slow)
Cars in the US are dirt cheap, the rest of the world pays real prices, and in some areas it is a true luxury eg Singapore and Hong Kong when the taxes are equal to cost of the car or double that.
But saying all that, it unbelievable that so many on this site are under 30 and even under 20 and still having the cash to modify the car...it blows me away!
