"I AM IN"

From what I can determine a 2.5 PSI boost from 11 to 13.5 PSI will increase flow by 20-25 CFM across entire RPM band. At top engine revs the heat to the intercooler will increase by 20-25 degrees, and the power to drive the supercharger at top engine RPM by 15 HP!

Where this kit will really shine is from 3000 to 5500 engine RPM. The volumetric efficiency increases by over 5% in these RPM ranges, but goes away totally at 6000+!

To illustrate the biggest problem, the MP45 Eaton adds 125 degrees at 5 PSI boost, 185 degrees at 11 PSI boost, and 215 degrees at 13.5 PSI boost at maximum engine RPM! This almost doubling of temp to the intercooler from the M111 engine to a hopped up M271 that uses the same IC.

That's what I like to hear! If the install costs at Evosport aren't that high, then I'M IN!

It worked in my Subaru so it has to work in my Mercedes.

Now that's sound logic.

That is not the logic i'm using whatsoever!

I'm just saying that I'm willing to modify my car, regardless of possible issues if the tuner is right and they release a tested product, which in this case, it is going to be!

Please keep your idiocracies to yourself.
Thank you!

Cluck Cluck Cluck. Again, iyou don't have to install this on your car. You're free to play it safe, drive 20 under in the slow lane, re-elect GW, and never take a chance in life. Enjoy. How did you ever get into a Mercedes Benz? Modding cars is a BILLIONS A YEAR business. Obviously, a lot of people are not afraid to mod their cars. They shouldn't be...its just a machine after all.

Why get all alarmist on him...just think, if it blows up, you can sit back all smug and say "I told you so". Now, that should make your little heart happy, eh?

I"M IN.

Though, I'm with UStifosi on a warranty issue...Porsche does the same thing...on the first day I started mods on my 996TT I sad bye-bye to the warranty, even a simple chip will void it.

Regards,

Serg

15-25 HP for $1000 USD, I am definitely in.

The more and more stuff like this comes out the more I consider keeping the C230. I wanted to trade to a CLK320, yet the modding potential may keep me interested in my current car.

We need more NA tuners to get involved on this engine, otherwise its trade-up to the 320 time.

well, last i spoke w/ evosport they were shooting for a bit over 40-45 whp. w/ an intake kit and powerchip.

Anyway, all this isn't guaranteed until we get some testing done, which will probably take place in a couple of weeks. Once again, i'll keep you all posted.

Why $1000 for one pulley ? ...... they are only worth $150 - $300 at most.

I spoke to my Eaton wholesaler and they make pulleys from scratch.

SauceBoy, can you list all the items in the kit required for the 40+ whp?

And what the estimated $$ cost will be? How will customers far way from evosport install such a kit?

Thanks

If you read through the thread you'll see that this particular kit isn't just for one pulley but 3. Also we haven't even begun to discuss prices so we're still in the blue on that.

Any automotive proffesional shop can install this kit.

All i know right now in regards to price is that it's going to be cheaper then anything else in the market. That's it for now. Sorry guys.

Gentlemen, here is the latest:

OverDrive Pulleys Kit (ODPS), will consist of following:

1. New, larger damper crank pulley. The exact size is still in development. It will be a brand new, not modified stock, damper. Very much like our E55 damper. www.evosport.com

2. Smaller water pump pulley, to clear larger crank damper.

3. Larger alternator pulley, to compensate for larger crank damper.

I am expecting around 20-25HP and 15-20TQ from about 2 to 2.5 psi increase. With software and better intake we could see 185-190 RWHP.

Pricing information and dyno graphs will be follow shortly. Thank you for your interest.

I dont understand why the software isnt included. That is the part that makes all the pulley mods worthwhile.
