anything is possible. The problem here is:
- pipe diameter V8 vs I4 S/C
- backflow problems ???
- rear wheel well is in the way

Search for Weiderman's post on his C55 quad-tip AMG exhaust install on his C32 AMG. That was in the thousands/thousands of $$$$, and required heavy modifications to his undercarriage. Barring the different engine/flow/exhaust configurations between C55 and C230K, anything is possible if you throw enough $$$ at it.

just another stock 2005 W203 SS.
Wait till he gets his wheels !!

someone recently said it best, it seems the 2005 models are so nice looking, there's not much difference being modded between one and the other. They all look the same.

if you get one used, you can just weld it on. if you buy one new I think it comes from cat back which you can bolt it on, but I think the pipe diameter might be different.

How does the C32 muffler sound on the C230? Any noticable change? I might be interested in doing this mod also....if there's no negative side effects.

Be very careful with back pressure. I have heard that it could damage your engine since the muffler is made for a V6 and not a 4 banger.... I believe blake had one and found information on how it could damage your engine.....

I'm pretty sure the piping is diff...but u can always customize it to fit, if I were u, I'd get remus or eisemann instead of the c32 exhaust

x-tian is right...this issue has been debated over and over. I know it will FIT because xxbenzc230kxx has it on his C230 sedan (looks great, btw), but not sure about the long term consequences of using an exhaust that is not meant for our cars. I'm working on getting a euro spec AMG exhaust designed specifically for the 1.8L 4 cylinder engine. Part #B6 603 0819.

I'm not sure if mine is a C32 muffler but it sure looks the same. I was told by the guy (a reliable guy btw) at the shop I purchased the muffler that AMG makes 2 mufflers - 1 for 4 and 1 for 6 cylinders. I got a guy (who seems to know what he's doing, I might add) to install it.

I thinking about ordering a new AMG muffler from oempartdirect.com. Can anyone confirm that the when ordering a new muffler that it comes from the cat-back, meaning that i could just bolt it on? They have it on their site for about $365. I'm looking at it mainly for the look as i want the car to stay fairly quiet. I'm thinking for that price i may be able to get a custom dual setup at a shop. The only thing i'm worrying about with a dual setup is the loudness, which i know depends on what muffler they use. Also, does anyone have a sound clip of the AMG muffler on a 320? I've read that i really doesn't make much of a difference in sound but that if i were to delete my resonator it would be a bit louder. My question is just how louder will it be with the removal of the resonator?

sounds ilke you want performance gain but wanting it to stay quiet. If anything, i'd say stayaway from any exhaust mod or just throw in an amg tips for the looks of it. the reason to that is because you just won't get much gain for the $ and it cuold be louder than what you have now. so...

Only problem is they don't sell the AMG tips; you can get some knock-offs from eBay though.

I got the C32 muffler, haven't gotten it installed yet. But if you delete the resonator then it sounds pretty good, a couple of people have done it.

I have the C32 AMG exhaust on my C320 Sport Coupé... I also deleted the Resonator. The sound is rich & deep. Not like the C32 but close, because of the resonator removal.

I have another C32 AMG exhaust sitting in my garage that I am putting on my other C320 (2004.5 Sport Sedan). I expect the same nice tone.

it's hit or miss....

I bought one for $300 and another for $100
only because the owners just needed to get rid of them fast,
new exhaust systems were already being installed, and they were just going to throw them away.

Since brand new ones are at about $650+
I would say that $300 is a fair price, as long as it is not rusted, dent, or dinged too bad, and the tips are still shiny and clean.

it only regulates sound, so there's no performance gain or loss.

$300 is fair price for used C32 muffler. I sold mine for $320 shipped.
