C240 in autocross
Just to clarify, when I think of auto cross, images of cars on dirt back roads whipping around corners and flying over bumps, or slogging through mud comes to mind. Usually I also think of trucks or subaru cars. If this isn't remotely the case, would you please explain in a bit more detail the circumstances under which you'd be using the car.
I have modified very little:
1999 CLK wheels (very light-13lbs!) w/Kuhmos
Sway bar from C32
Brabus cat-back exhaust
I consider this car to be very competitive!
C240- luxury, safety, first grade quality, not too sporty
Evo- fun, fast, but just another japanese car.
Oh who is you compettitor in HS?
I should decide by next week. Thank you for the info.

I have autocrossed my C240/6-speed for almost a year now. I am tied for first place in H-Stock in my region (SCCA)

Would the C230 coupe compete in the same class at the C240? If so then you have a performance advantage with the coupe.
Tom
Kuhmo's are Korean and are the hottest rubber for autocrossing - $100/corner, stick like glue, street legal (barely). Vast majority of stock class competitors runsthem.
The C230 Coupe will be a G Stock car as opposed to the C-sedans and wagons that are H stock.
Shocks (any)
Front Sway bar (only)
Tires (any DOT-approved)
Cat-back exhaust (any)
Air filter(any)
Thats about it!
You cannot change:
Springs
Wheek size (diameter, width or offset)
Any engine, tranny or rear-end parts
Rear sway bar
