Eric, welcome back I mixed you and Jason's (kompman) up and when i went back to edit it it was too late--(it was a long time ago)-sorry to hear of your ongoing troubles and hope you didn't take offense to the previous post on you not knowing too much on the benz, I often forget i have been working on automobiles for years and have a little more hands on time on these cars than most (I do try to tackle anything I can so i don't have to pay anyone to do it.)
Anyway Hope hope you don't decide to leave it down there in CostaRica, it would be a shame and you may get better money for it here once you smooth out all the bumps (but who knows?) Have you had to replace the clutch yet?, i take it is not your daily driver due to the registration fees but run it at least once a month to keep the oil flowing.
you should post some current pictures, and definently if you have the extra funds not only fix the running isssues but do somthing a little different with the hood
best of luck-- BTW I liked the orion blue so much I bought my Fiance a blue 02 coupe as well

Newbie
The car is functioning; however, the headers will need insulated better.
Never heard a bad compliment on the hood, until now. As a matter of fact, the hood is what people see first. If I do anything to the hood, I will make the opening into more of a scoop, further cooling the vehicle. Not a drastic scoop but like maybe 4 to 6".
The car looks beautiful with the blue and mirrored window tinting. I do need another hood badge for someone pried it off the vehicle. Can anyone help me with that? It was a heavy metallic one, not the cheesy plastic ones sold on eBay. Hood contains 2 holes, 1 for alignment and the other to fasten it with.
As for the blow off, the puttering you head maybe is due to the tuning it had.

sorry man, but i got the girl in the pic below---besides, I wouldn't want to ruin your brokeback mountain game! ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
Anyway.........Eric, he hood badge that you are looking for is the swap out kit that goes on the sedans, and there is a member here who sells the metal badges somewhere on here (maybe one of you can elaborate) for all the owners wanting to get rid of their stand up star------if not the plastic ones go for pennies and are easily replacable if someone tries to pry it off again
