Changing the spare tire for a 17'' wheel??
It is possible to install in the trunk a 17'' wheel instead of the spare tire on the coupe?
The wheel space is a little bit small but if we change the wheel space cover maybe????
anyone knows?
On the sedan it comes with a tinny wheel or it can have a 17'' wheel as an factory option?
thanks

what parts?
maybe the same for coupe but a little different!
I asked my dealer but he sayed it's not possible, the coupe only have the little wheel or compressor.
but we know how the dealers are

those parts will NOT work on the Coupe. Completely different set up between SEDAN and COUPE spare tire wells.
Gaiex, your dealer is correct, it is NOT possible (per se, in Mercedes-Benz way of doing things). I already researched this, because if you have 17" or 18" wheels in a COUPE, the spare tire is useless.
The way you could do it, is by completely modifying and retro-fitting your spare wheel well area, with a C-Sedan wheel-well. Extremely expensive, extremely labor intensive, and you have to move around exhaust pipes, heat shields, rear sway bar, and much more work than it's worth. Only then those part #'s listed above could work.

Thanks for the explanation Saprissa.
When I got a little time I will see the situation better.
The motive I asked this was, I have to change all my 4 tires and I want to buy the new 05' C7 (I think this is the designation in US) 8,5x17'' for the rear to have 245x40 tires. So I will have 2 spare wheels and I will sell 1 and the other I was thinking putting it in spare wheel, but no luck!!!

Yeah, I feel the same way
because, my AMG wheels are 17x7.5 front / 17x8.5 rear,
and even a 16" spare wheel will NOT work for me, because I have the larger AMG brake calipers. So the spare tire ("Donut") in the rear well is useless to me, and I can't fit a 17" wheel there either, so:

Saprissa, did you ever look into getting a collapsible spare tire? I did a quick look online and it seems they have a 17" collapsible spare for the Porsche Cayanne. Might be able to buy just the tire from them?
You can also get rid of the spare and get run-flats. This way you shed some pounds and gain some storage.

The AMG C30CDI Coupe is not available in the US, and therefore the specs for that car are not accessible through USA MB Dealers or EPC.
That answer could only be given by an European owner of a C30 CDI or C32 AMG Coupe, or perhaps by an European MB Dealer with AMG inventory/access.
Let me know if you do find out, I am curious to know as well.
My guess is that since these AMG Coupes came with 17" and 18" wheels, that the spare tire may have been one of those collapsible/inflatable spare wheels, like Capt Nemo o2 noted.
Thanks,
Carlos
