My car won’t turn on
My car won’t turn on
Hello I own a 2002 c320 and it hasn’t turn on for 3 weeks now. It all started when I put my key in my ignition switch and it didn’t do the sound of the key entering or the beeping. My key didn’t turn at all in the ignition. I had clean the key fob and change the key battery still nothing. Check my car battery has 13 voltage. I got a new ignition switch and 2 new keys so it can be programmed to the car but when the tool was plugged in a bunch of codes came on the screen. I was told that my SAM module got corrupt. I want to know what is causing my problem. I also got a new starter since mines is faulty it hasn’t been change yet. I’m attaching the video of the codes that came on the tool. Please advise what could be the problem

Does the ignition switch unlock (zip noise) when you plug the key into the new module? Are you able to turn the key?
Is the new ignition switch coded to match the car VIN?

Cut the guy some slack.
We've all used the parts cannon at some point.
Sounds like a failed EIS. A shop or the dealer would be able to confirm it. OP, take a look at this thread. I was able to get the EIS professionally cloned with The ECU Pro.

You left out the part where the 1st thing you did was get out a voltmeter, check the battery, check the CCA and then RECHARGED it just to be sure
(with the battery disconnected).
Did that even happen? Clean the battery contacts?
Was it stilling in the rain? Any water instrusion in the trunk,or in the SAMMS?
If it was working and then parked and nothing catastophic happened, like a tree fell on it, then likely the problem WAS
a simple one. Now, it's a mess. Likely just a parasitic drain like the alarm module. If I leave my car parked for 3 weeks, it's quite likely to not
start depending on the age of the battery. Damn things are constantly running diagnostic in the background, slowly siphoning away the juice.
And things like the seat modules, and freakin' shorted alarm backup battery don't help.
One of the many issues with throwing mutiple parts at a problem is you can VERY easily create new problems along the way,
or recieve a defective part, and by the time you are done, whereas you started with one problem, you now have 5.
Who here could even begin to decipher the short video you posted of a thousand codes?
