You sort of wonder sometimes how some people got their driver's license -- or bought a car they don't "understand".
A lot of people all they care and need is a car that gets them from point a to point b.
The only reason I asked is because bmw has all of their mirrors be photosensitive... so why wouldnt MB
nrl1 then others think that why in their right mind would someone post a jackassed message like yours... while at the same time owning an automatic "paprika" colored sports coupe.

Both side mirrors are heated.
are you sure about that? i thought it was just the drivers side mirror only coz I had a blind spot mirror on my mirros and 2 times i had to replyace it coz the mirror on the drivers side fell off. I always thought it was coz the drivers side was heated and the other side wasn't

Both outside mirrors are heated... can you imagine driving on a chilly morning with one mirror clear and usable while the other is frosted over?
All this is covered in your manual, but I imagine all of you know that?

The driver's (left) outside and inside mirrors are auto-dim, but the right side mirror is not. (MB does it this way to be different from BMW. You might want to ask BMW why they don't have auto tilt-down right side mirror (in reverse) like MB does. They'll probably tell you they want to be different from MB.)
Not to burst your bubble Bob, but BMWs do have the tilt down right mirror thing.

It's been awhile since I read up on BMWs, and I read only about the 3's. I genuinely don't recall the trick mirror on the 3's. Is it available on the 3, or is it a 5-series (and up) feature?
Benzo, testosterone is the only requisite for driving a pickup truck--"bein' a fer piece smarter" is optional. if you flip-flop back into the pickup truck craze as you did in March, you could qualify as a dumb Texun, and move in with the rest of us hicks, whether it be McKinney or Flower Mound.
I think Rev, myself, and maybe 20 others are the only ones in Texas who DON'T have at least one pick-em-up in the stable...

OK, leave it to a switch-hitter to keep me honest. It must be nice to have one of each. Good catch, I guess. Some time we will corner you and make you tell us which one you like better.

Um (hangs head down) I still have the truck and it in fact has Texas plates on it. Most of my family including dad is from East TX.

it feels more luxurious than the bimmer, and has more "neat" toys in it... like the "pop" down rear headrests (I still amaze riders with this one).
A gee-whiz gadget with some practical benefit...
