Mercedes-Benz develops C400 Biturbo to take on the BMW 335i
This was posted in the last Autobild magazine. "Mercedes is working on a C400 Biturbo that will employ a 4-l V6 engine with twin turbocharging and develop 408-horsepower. 0-100 km/h is estimated to be in an insane 4 seconds. The car will be available in RWD as well as 4Matic AWD."
IMO, this isn't making the most sense, but who knows! We'll soon see!

Its for take some sales to BMW but for the 335d, not 335i...
The 335d (285Hp) is selling in Europe like candys, the quickest diesel in the market, specialy because of the low weight comparing to the powerfull 745d 330cv...
I have a friend that had a 220cdi coupe and now he have a 335d coupe and man, it flys, soo much pulling power at 155mph and its 6s 0-60!
Porsches cayman S, carrera S don't pull away!!!!!!!!!
I allready know a guy with a 335d wagon with 330Hp!!!!! (he also have a C30CDI with 285hp!!)

The reason a 335d is so powerful feeling is because of the loads of torque a turbocharged diesel engine produces, and the 335d is one of the best diesels in terms of performance that money can buy IMO.

I think that would be kind of an overkill for a non-AMG C-Class, not to mention the price tag. If the 335i (4 door) starts at 39k, well equipped is just about 50k, what would MB start it at? Low 40s? Well equipped could possibly be slightly over 50k. It would be interesting to see if they actually come out with this.
