Headroom with or without sunroofs
Hi there,
Does anyone have access to accurate driver's side headroom measurements for the new C Class?
I'm around 6'5" and found quite by accident that I don't fit in the car with the panoramic sunroof. I'm wondering how much more space there is if a standard sunroof is fitted, or if there is no sunroof.
Also - are the AMG seats lower than the standard seats? If so, does anyone know how much extra headroom they give?

I ordered my W203 without the sunroof and gained almost 2 inches of headroom. I am a bit under 6'4" tall. My head brushes the headliner on a sunroof-equipped W203.
I have not tried a W204 yet. I am sure I will want to delete the sunroof on it, too.
My advice? Tell your dealer you want a non-sunroof car. If enough of us demand it, MB will make it available. I understand the sunroof is optional in Europe (for tall people, of course).

I think because virtually every dealer ordered W203 C-Class had the Sunroof package, MBUSA decided to make it standard. More examples of MBUSA telling us what we need...maybe we should start calling them Ma Benz.
