Has anyone heard about a diesel for the us market.
I want a diesel and I love the new C. Just wondering if anyone has heard any rumors?

When the new Bluetec's get released, 7 Eastern states will only be able to lease the diesels, not buy. The lease details I believe were 2 years/24k miles @ $600/month. This is so far for the E320 Bluetec, not sure if it will apply to the other diesels being released.

Leave it up to the U.S. to screw up a good thing. Let`s see, give a complete tax write off on a Range Rover that gets 14 mpg (I know this because my dad pissed away 70k on one 2 months ago) or put into to place all kind of restrictions on a car that will 40 mpg. yep, that sounds bout right. I hope that gets changed. Thats for the info however, both of you guys.

Nice. Audi is coming out with their 3.0 TDI in the B8 platform, 240hp/369lb-ft, accelerates to 60 same as the 335d, 6.1s.

I asked several dealers aout the C with the BlueTech and none of them seemed to be sure what the plan was. I would be interested, but I'm not willing to wait.

The dealers don't get any info until the public knows. They keep all this stuff very private. But a diesel is likely for the US market, just I wouldn't expect next year.

We have yet to hear anything on the C-diesel...only speculation...as soon as we know, we'll let our customer's know...we are however looking forward to the C-wagon coming soon

That's the first I've heard on that one...all reports are that MB has no plans to bring the Estate to the US....

Would make several on this forum happy.

We'll know for sure once the auto shows get underway. If they debut a C320 Bluetech at L.A. or Detroit or New York then you can expect it for the 2009 model year.
