Default Bluetooth Code on c 300
I am having a hard time pairing my Blackberry 8830 with the new car; the phone finds the car, but the car doesnt want to find the phone;
does anyone know the default Bluetooth code for the car? I think its either 4262 or 0000, but I am not sure.
thanks!

try 0000 that worked for me....or 1234.....to be honest I Think I tried to make one of the devices findable and make the other search....one asked me to make up a code....and then the other asked me for the code....if that makes sense...cause I have mine hooked up to my blackberry....
so in recap....try initiating with both devices...one will ask you to create the code....the other will ask you for the code you created....you can get it to work and then you will be on your bluetooth

BlueTooth Pairing on C300
I am having the exact same problem as wase4711. I have a BB 8800 and a 2008 C300. My BB see's the bluetooth but wants the key to pair with. I've tried 62872, 0000 and 1234. None work.
Any ideas?

I have a feeling that the car just doesnt want to pair with BB's..It wouldnt pair with my wife's Treo either. Maybe its a PDA problem in general..

The car will pair with my Treo about 90% of the time.
You need to make the device accessable, then search in MB for it. Then it asks for the Code in the MM system. Enter any 4 digits you want. Then enter the same code in the phone and it should work.
The dealer said 2222 sometimes works generally too.

OK, I got it..
the way I did it was to go into the "External Authorization" screen, wait about 60 seconds, and then the car "found" the Blackberry!
Entered the 0000 passcode, and it found it; also sent 163 entries from my address book on the phone in about 15 seconds!!
Thanks for your help all!

I actually paired my HTC Tytn on a demo ... first you need to "makeup" a code on the C300 and then enter the same code on your device. It worded like a charm on the first try!
Clarity was really good and I was driving the demo on the highway!

the code you enter in your Comand system for MB is for your mobile phone so MB can access that device. The code you enter in your mobile is for MB COMAND blue tooth so it can gain access there.
The default code for MB blue tooth is 0000. so thats what you enter in your mobile.
Check if you have changed the code for your mobile. Or read your mobile manual for the default code for your mobile phone so other devices can access your mobile.

Pairing step by step documents
http://www.mbusa-mobile.com
Click on any phone and it will give you detailed step by step instructions to pair your bluetooth phone with the car. I was able to get my Blackberry Pearl 8100 to pair with these instructions - it is not intuitive. Unfortunately, if your phone is not listed, it is a challenge. Anyone ever get a Treo 650 to pair with a 2008 COMAND bluetooth?
