Anyway, I've been waiting to change jobs so I could get a grown-up car. Finally left the union side for management side and can drive what I want. Problem is, I had s6 money, but barely c-class space. So, looking for a nice awd hatch first (which no one makes) or sedan second that might fit came down to the 335ix, g35x, a4, c-classc300sport4matic, subie spec.B and volvo s40. the g35x turned out to be too long by about 2 inches, the 335ix too wide by about 2 incehs, the a4 fit but the merc looked better, teh volvo drove, well, liek a volvo, which is to say a refrigerator with sterring wheel, and the subie was the best performer all around which fit (second only to the bmw which didn't fit) and was ***** fast, but just isn't the pseudo-lux car I was looking for now (great car, but only a upper middle class car, not a lower upper class car). So, that's how I got into my c-class. Had it been against the older c-class, or with the new 2009 a4, probably woulda gotten the a4.
still happy with my choice, even if the c-class is 10% less car than its competition for 10% more price, metaphorically speaking.
I miss it to death but after we sold our Calabria it was an expensive driveway ornament. My wife was driving it daily to work & back 12 miles each way, so the W204 is a huge difference and better for her.

TSX is a great sport car BTW, never thought I'd sell it with only 24000 miles on it but, when you see the new C, it's history

Mine was an 04 vert with the hamann lip as well, but I had LE37T instead of the SSR. I bet you were running on eibachs from the look of it in the picture.
To the guys who had the S2000 and especially the M3 before... Wow, bold move, but way to go!
ryanrohaley.. I bet you'd miss the sound of the G when you let it go.. Personally, I do.

What I'm really impressed about (this being my first Benz), are the previous MB owners who still opted for another Benz!

bump...
