Mercedes noob question.
What's the purpose of the big sticker on the windshield on the passenger side? Besides product snobs thinking it's cool, is there a reason I can't take a razor blade to it?

My dealer told me its like an indication telling us the windshiled has not been replaced before. There wouldnt be a sticker if you have it replaced- a sign of accidents.
I'm not sure tho, has anybody replaced their windshield and still has that sticker?

Busted a windshield on my first ML...that sticker cost me .99 cents in the service department. You can also change them up if you like, certain models and certain years had different stickers.

Available in the parts dept priced from free to a buck. I always put one on a new windshield.

Well..he is partially right in theory. A replacement windshield wouldn't have the sticker on it. If its a new car and it doesn't have the sticker then I would say yes, it has had the windshield replaced and I would wonder why. But as we mentioned, its an easy 99 cent fix, so you can't tell if a car has been wrecked or the windshield has been replaced by that alone.
