I am 26. My parents put 10K down for my Nissan Z when I had it as a gift. By then the car they bought me for college was pretty much dead. Now I am purchasing my own car w/o my parents. It honestly feels better when you can buy your own car - you tend not to take it for granted as much.
I live at home... therefore it's easy for me to buy my car. Was going to move out, but my parents (mom's a former real estate agent) just told me to save up and take over the mortgage to one of their other houses instead of saving up for a DP and loan. Fortunately, their house I'm gunning for was bought for relatively cheap, in the mid-nineties, in a perfect neighborhood in SD.
I am pretty much saving up just for the hell of it. Either CDs or, whenever the stock market corrects its ***, investments. My car is the only material thing I pay for... my credit card goes mostly towards food and gas.
It doesn't matter how old you are... you can be a mature 16 year old or a 50 year old toolbag (the AMG forums come to mind). It's the driver, not the car, that stands out.

Have owned/operated my own business for going on 5 years. I also have a full-time job as a web designer. I work around 75 hours a week, but by choice. I got the day-job for fun
, truly, after 4 years of running the business. I'll be 28 in a few months. I paid cash (responsible), but then I have no savings (irresponsible).

just because many of us are young, (I'm 22) does not mean we can't have good jobs, I am a college grad and have a good job, live on my own and support myself, and those who were lucky and their parents paid for the car, take care of it and respect what's been given to you, maybe you deserve it maybe you don't. I love my C.

I'm 19.
Yes, leasing is a good thing! Not very logical from a financial standpoint, but whatever. Im extremely thankful that my parents pay the lease on it. My brother and I "trade off" between the C300 and an '08 Jetta Wolfsburg...but on the Jetta me and my brother pay the monthly payments.

I am 20 yrs old. I personally take it as a blessing to drive an 09 c300 as a daily driver. Mercedes cars has been around for a long time and to enjoy the experience, is something that could never take away. Not alot of people get to personally own one of these machines at such a young age, so I just call like I see it and keep on rolling.

2008 C350
25 here...at least for a few more months! I pick up my '08 C350 on Saturday...Only other car I've owned is a '99 3000GT SL which now has 165k miles on it, hence the new car. Anyone know anybody that'd be interested?
Black/Black MM, P2, iPod, tele-aid, 18"s, pano for $34.6k....I guess it helps to have a friend as a fleet manager for MB?![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
And for all this 'too young' talk going on...I put almost half down on the car to keep the monthly low and haven't dented the savings. Get a degree and a career (not a job!) It's about how much you save, not how much you make...

32 here, first MB. I thought I was pretty young and proud to be able to get a car like this but apparently I am one of the older ones on this board. Hopefully, it's partly because of the ridiculous prices we pay in Canada
