Agreed, those car wash brushes are the tools of the devil!!! Unless the car is white--it's not as bad (although you can see them if you look under the right lighting conditions).

*Checks calendar...nope says December not April.
+1 on brushes scratching.
Adds that auto car washes that have the spinning brushes or "rags" will also scratch the paint and in some cases remove your mirrors, license plates, and antenna.

GAH!!! Please don't take your car through a carwash!!
If you REALLY need to... they have ones that are completely touchless... just pressurized water and soap... work pretty well.

yes +684451326987 I would suggest to still use the car wash however:
1. you bring your own bucket, washmitt, soap and shammy
2. A) put in the minimum amount of quarters and wet your car (start from bottom to top)
B) fill up your bucket with water
3. wash with your personal mitt (top to bottom)
4. put in min amount of quarters again
5. rinse off car (top to bottom)
6. switch to the hot wax and spray (top to bottom)
7. switch to the ultra dry or whatever they call it these days (top to bottom)
8. pull out of the booth and shammy dat ***** down (top to bottom not incl windows)
Thats how I used to do it...saves a couple quarters and no scratches at the same time!!!

you only get 5 mins for 2.50.... so i could do the first rinse, but is there time in the 2nd session to do steps 5-7 in 5 mins?

^^^ yeah...try it out. You'll get better at it the more times you go. Slide in another quarter or 2 to extend the time if you need to
oh and step 9. once the car/paint is dry and streakless/spotless, dry the windows with the shammy and immediately follow with dry cloth/towel (to prevent streaking).
10. hit the slab like bling!
