300 hp AMG c350?

A friend of mine just got a new c350. The car is supposed to be an AMG version. It has an AMG badge on the opposite site of the C350 badge, also the seats have small AMG badges (leather seats BTW). Other than that it is exactly as my C350. I don’t know if there really is an AMG version out there or were those just custom badges. What really got my attention is that he claimed that his car came with special fuel injectors that pumped the engine to 300 hp. Anyone knows if this is possible?

One more thing; the car is an import from US to Dominican Republic, so there is a very good chance that the dealer that imported the car did some minors mod and claims that they are original AMG mods.

I saw a Mercedes Benz E 320 AMG the other day in a parking lot, I had to stop and go back around and look again in disbelief. Whats even better is he had the real AMG 55 wheels, the front & side aerodynamics but left the stock E320 bumper with the tiny hidden exhaust pipes in place? Also still had the E320 on the decklid...... didn't have me fooled.

If its a true AMG product it will come with some sort of documentation to prove so. In this case it just sounds like another person who caught the "sticker bug" every so often an unsuspecting Mercedes Benz customer will be in the parts department and get bit by the sticker bug. Its painless and it seems like everything is fine until they place the stickers on their cars. Then once all the other Mercedes Benz customers see the stickers they point and laugh and never let him join in any reindeer games.

This was my first idea; the only problem is that my car is in Boston, I’m only here in Dom. Rep. for the holydays.

I’m going to try to go back with my camera and take some pictures, I don’t know if I’ll have time though.

If all this is BS then he got fooled by whoever imported the car because he is very convinced.

Happy 2008.

Go to www.mercedes-amg.com to learn about all of the official AMG models. The internet is your friend. The only C-Class AMG is C63, and it hasn't even been released, not until a few months from now.

http://www.mymbonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1172

those guys are a riot in that thread. I'm still waiting until I can find one in the wild to post. My prob is I'm new to Mercs and thus don't know the full panolpy of amg's. Anyway, take a photo, post on mymbonline's official "poseur" thread, and let the wolves at it, not to mention great ammo for laughs while at it!

No such thing as an AMG 350. There are 350's with "AMG" packages similar to the Sport package in the US, but the only W204 AMG presently on the road anywhere in the world is the C 63, regardless of how many AMG badges you see on someone's car.

I'm a newbie here and my first Mercedes, a C300 Sport with all options except the glass roof and 2 others I can't think of right now. In browsing thru the threads this one caught my interest. Before buying I looked at every Mercedes web site, including the AMG site, bought anything that had a write up about the car good or bad. While waiting for my new car being detailed I had posed the question if the car was in fact an AMG Sport. (Referring back to the AMG site it is in fact a C300 w/ AMG Sport pkg, option code 950(?).) But only a pkg. No engine, big brakes, etc. So they put the AMG on which will be followed by the "Sport", when it comes in, directly below. I've had Corvettes, Audis, Bimmers and one play toy, a $25,000 VW Turbo S that would blow the doors off a Boxter and the small SLK. So with that said and all info that I could gather, am I too considered a poser. Because I hate posers.

I think he meant pwnage, as to be pwned. Which is, of course, to be owned. Which means to be beat upon so badly that you become someone's female dog (or beyaatch as Snoop would say). Which is of course a wholly deragorty and demeanign thing to say. Which is why its called being pwned or owned in the first instance, instead of just humiliated.

Oh yeah, and it would be poserish. Much like putting an M body kit on your BMW and then replacing the stock badges with an M badge. BOdy kits do not make the AMG.

Ownage because of the badges saying "AMG" and "Sport" right next to each other. It would just be classic. Please post pics, please?

My car has the most factory AMG parts that you can get on a W204 in the US right now, and it is NOT and AMG. If I were to put an AMG badge on it (the dealer offered me one) I would be a poser.

AMG makes component parts that go on many makes and models of cars, but only the cars that are AMG built, meaning built at the AMG factory under the direct supervision of a single AMG guy (who has his signature on your engine and not the windshield), are AMG's.

Still, as I've said many times on here before, it is your car and you should put whatever you want on it.
