2009 C-Class
The Grey/Black is noted as being "New" and, although no actual photos were available in US trim, it is purported to involve grey leather "inserts" in the black seatback, sides, and main cusion. I hope this looks good because this is what I ordered....sight unseen.

Yes. The dealer had a C350W (MY09) Paint and Upholstery Matrix which showed that there are a total of six choices, 3 in MB-TEX plus the same three in leather. The choices are Black (101), Almond/Mocha (115), and the new Grey/Black (118). The matrix for my C350W indicated you could have any combo of the available exterior colors and the three interior schemes in either MB-TEX or leather (extra cost for leather).

I thought the gray/black interior color combo was out for a couple of months already. Weren't the early cars all gray inside, and recently they started doing gray seats/door inserts with black dash and black carpetting and console, etc?
Maybe not?
Oh, and I betcha they didn't change the interior color but just renamed it. "No, no, it isn't so much savanna as it is mocha, lets rename it mocha"... ;-)

Model Year 2008 Interior Comparison
This might not be useful, but I thought it might be helpful so once we have 2009 details for sure we can compare. These pictures are out of the Dealer Ordering Guide for Model Year 2008. Notice the top dash part of the Cashmere/Savanna and how dark it looks. I hope that this interior is more appealing now. Also for the Grey/Black I can't really see anything other than a new shade of grey, perhaps darker. I was hoping for Black/Sahara interior in the sport sedans, but I guess my wish will go unfulfilled. Oh well, I've been looking at the 2009 E550 which I could get the Sahara or Cognac interiors in. My other choice is the CLS550 but I don't like the interiors colors as much, but the dash is beautiful.

Very good point about the headliner. That is a big problem with the C-Class sport sedans. I hate the black headliner it feels very claustrophobic.
+1. Not to mention the fact that, against a dark background, the black sunvisors look plasticky as do the lightpods above the windshield. The headliner on the Luxury model would be a better choice (IMHO) even for a sport model.
i think i'm one of the few people that like the black headliner (very sporty IMO)..."Thank you Mercedes, Thank you, I love you" -Fifth Gear
...it's also funny because in the BMW e92 forum everybody wants the black headliner instead of the light grey

By the way, where are you located? Based on the price you paid for your 2009 C350, you must be in Canada.

The C63 AMG rims, will be available for free upgrade here.
Atleast I know im getting them, at no extra charge, even if im paying high ball for the car.

i dun think is the C63 ones
you can't get the C63 one on the C Class
why would they give u the exclusive C63 one ?
my sales told me that we will get the 18 inch AMG rim and not that C 63 AMG one

I dont think so bro, you will get the 18 AMG TWIN 5 spoke rims but not the same as C63. The C63 gets 18" AMG 5 spokes.
