Basic Roof Rack
Has anyone used the MB basic roof rack to carry kayaks? I am an advid kayaker and as much as I HATE to put kayaks on my C300, I have no choice! I do have a Thule rack but thought the MB rack would like better... ??

If I saw a C class driving to the lake with kayaks on top I might wreck while I LMAO!!!

Well I think a rack will be hot on the C300. I have my Yakima bike rack in the garage and just as soon as the weather gets better I was gonna buy the basic rack from MB and then add my Yakima bike holders with the flare. That should all look good but I probably wont be able to have the flare on with the pano roof.

I did it!
Thule finally has a roof rack for the C-Class! I found that the MB Basic Roof Rack would not work for a kayak (using my Thule brackets - Glide and set and J-style) so I went with the Thule Roof Rack made specifically for the C-Class. Although I like my C300 MUCH better without it, it works. Hey, I have a Mercedes and I kayak... what more can I say!?!? It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would....
