Can anyone tell me how to.....
After a number of tries along with 2 salesman helping, the solution still not found, so I am going to the experts. I have a C300 with the Multi Media package, the car is paired up with the phone, and is working fine, but once in the car there seems to be no way to take a phone call off bluetooth, which is something necessary for privacy, or ease of use, or rain hitting the windshild, which is picked up by the very sensitive mic in the top of the rearview mirror. The sales staff has tried all the things that work in other cars such as holding in the Telephone button in for 3 seconds. The only thing that we have come up with is deactivating the bluetooth in the system setup,
which would drop the call that you want to take or make, or deactivating bluetooth on your phone handset, both of those are not practical options.
Anyone know??? By the way, the option of "mic off" on the screen only mutes your side of the conversation, and nothing else.

Have the same issue with my car, if I hit handset on my phone the call is transfered for about 3 seconds then bluetooth retakes it. If I switch off the car while in the middle of a call, the call is dropped rather than transfered back to the phone like in my other car. Very stupid. I think we have to wait for a MB bluetooth firmware upgrade.
The only work around I can think of at this point is not to authorize the car to make automatic connections to the phone which means you have to manually accept the incoming bluetooth connection every time you enter the car and ignore it when it tries to take back the call you've transfered to the handset. Haven't tried it yet though.

I drive 2008 C350
I don't think there is anything to do with the car. Its your phone. Mine does exactly the same like you guys'. It has to do with your phone. My friend's phone works fine in his car when he switch to handset from bluetooth.
I need to do that too. For privacy reason like you said! Sux it doesn't work. I mma get new phone

Well, I have a Verizon razor, and when a call is taking place I have found that if I hit the "options" button on the top right I can scroll down to "disconnect Bluetooth", it disconnects it for a moment and then it appears that the car reconnects the handset, sounds impossiable that the car can tell the handset to "reconnect". If I do the same thing while using a bluetooth earpeice (not in the car) the handset remains disconnected. Can the car overide the handset and cause the handset to turn back on the bluetooth?
