Tint and moleskin protection

I just had my C350 tinted but forgot to mention to the tinter about moleskin protection. I did a thorough search in the forum and noticed that you can DIY. Some ordered kits from tintprotector, but they don't seem to have it for W204 yet. I guess it is just a matter of how long a piece of felt you need per window. I read that most took the inner door panel off before installing the moleskin. However, there is one post who suggested that the tint guy told him that he could have removed the rubber window seal without removing the inner door panel, installed the moleskin and re-insert the seal back.

Any experience and input would be helpful.

Sorry to sound ignorant, and let me get this straight, you mean :-

a. You think I don't need to take the inner door panel off before installing the moleskin, or

b. You think I don't need to install the moleskin for my W204?

He had to have meant "b" by the way he wrote that comment. I actually just tinted my car too but I'm not going to put in the moleskin, it's just too much of a hassel taking off the door panel..etc Maybe it was need in the W203's?

I've had my tint on my car for about 3 months with no moleskin and no scratches.

moleskin only necessary on w203's

w204's moleskin NOT REQUIRED - will be useless and a waste of time and money if you put some on...

I have had my windows tinted for 5 months with no scratches, unlike my W203 that showed scratches after about a month.
