VIP Test FITMENT W204

Hey guys,

I'm working on a fitment for the wife's car. Just ordered up the Springs and once those come in i'll get these on here to finalize a good wheel fitment.

I might end up selling these and getting a different set of wheels in a wider width since i now know it can be done.

Ideally i'll be doing a 19x9 and 10.0 setup with 225/35/19 and 235/35/19.

Currently displaying

AME Shallen AX (3D Chrome), Custom ordered from www.autornd.com for the Mercedes. Typically these wheels don't come in 5x112 but apparently they had some left over stock on a run they did a year or so ago. I got these at a great value and couldn't pass em up.

I'll be heading over to www.autoinnovations.com, our local premiere alignment shop for lowered vehicles, to determine what degree of camber etc... can be acheived.

This wheel has to have one of the cleanest Chrome plating I've ever seen. I mean no pitting, no plastic looking BS like a lot of cheap wheels out there.

Here's the photos: (OFFSETS ARE A SECRET RIGHT NOW)..... so sorry....

FLUSHNESS:

WHAT Y'ALL THINK????

If any of you guys have wheel fitment questions let me know, this is what i do for a living......

Custom Wheel/Suspension Consulting....

Peace..........

My other car:

Yes it can fit but the tire diameters will be tough to match. Not to mention the added weight of the wheels.

Our tire tire diameters should be such:

225/40/18, 255/35/18
225/35/19, 255/30/19
225/30/19, 255/25/20

That's if you go with a standard fitment in regards to wheel width and offset. Problem is the 255/25/20 might be a tough tire diameter to find. So most people inevitably get something that is larger than stock. Probably a 245/30/20.

I personally like to keep consistent tire diameters to the factory parameters for braking and gearing purposes.

In the next couple weeks i'll be working to determine to what degree our camber is affected when using H&R Springs, the lowest ones. I feel this will help the community determine where they fall into this "standard vs aggressive" spectrum.

Sadly our vehicles come in a much higher offset than most mb's in the past, but i hope to dispell the myth and give us some hope. woot woot!!!!!!

I posted the SC up on CL once, but not to active over there. Thanks guys...

i'll keep you posted on the progress.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I have the 18" AMG option on my W204, and I love them. I would really like to put rear spacers on though to get the stance a little wider. How much further out can I place them without rubbing? I have seen 3mm, 5mm and 8mm spacers, but it seems only the 3mm will not push the wheels out too far. It's almost not worth it for only 3mm per side. I will also be installing KW comforts or some similar coilovers when available.

Thanks.

So not sure if I mentioned but

Front tire:
225/35/19 on 8.5"

Rear tire:
235/35/19 on 9.5"

Falken FK452

I'm gonna take one of the 225's and stretch that on the rear and take some more pics to see how much difference it makes.

I'll post up this weekend if I got time to do it.

Looking sharp!
The tires really stick out from the fenders.
I'm worried about going over bumps, hard turns and hard braking.

I have a set of 18x8.5" wheels with an offset of 40 from my last car and it is pretty much flush with the top of the wheel arch opening and I'm worried about the same issues.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

do what you like man, I dont think there is a right and wrong way to mod a car.

Sure I have a style and there are some mods I definately do not like, and cant understand. I would not put 13" wire wheels on my car and put hydrolics on it, nor would I put 30" wheels on a box chev. but dare to be different, I wont knock anyone for their style, its their style not mine. hell if you got the funds, its your car and your money, and should be for your satisfaction. Plus if all cars looked like mine wouldnt that take the point out of modding my car? also that would get pretty boring

I personally dont mind the VIP style i think it looks good, maybe not as practical for daily use, but then again in my eyes no car with any low profile tire would be practical for any girl hahaha (no offense ladies referring to my mother, sister, and gf), but that is just me.

Looks good I think..good pics what kind of wheels are those? i am looking for something like that but i want the face silver and lip to be chrome, and probably loooking for like a 20" wheel 21" would be perfect but doubt it comes in it
