Paddle nicht

<<Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t w204 that have factory wheel paddles come with the tranny that you can set in “M” mode? Keep in mind that we don’t really have a real tiptronic system, we just have those +/- to set a high gear limit, but it will not shift the gear.>>

Since paddle shifters are not available in the North American market, the wiring, plugs and inevitable control unit are not in place.

And what do you mean, "not a real Tiptronic" system? Tiptronic is a Porsche trademark and their Tiptronic trans appeared in the early 90s in the 964 series.

By the way, has anyone in the forum installed one on their car yet?

I see Micropower99 has listed the following part numbers:

C63 AMG Steering Wheel: A 204 460 29 03
Airbag: A 204 860 33 02

the eBay link is off now I took the risk and bought that steering wheel. Now I have to find/order the AMG airbag because the original stock cannot be used. My original stock is a 3-spoke with paddle shifter already. Was told the wiring is a swap.

You bought it? Congrats. Yea you need to buy the airbag now from the dealership. I was quoted about $800

if it works if you wouldn't mind getting a quote on the hub that you use and the part number that would be great. Thanks

Did you notice that the steering wheel on the first photo of this thread is a combination of regular leather and suede on the sides (8-10 o'clock & 2-4 o'clock)?

The second one has perforated leather on the sides.

I prefer the one with the suede combination. Now, what is the right number for the leather/suede wheel in black? Any suggestions on where to get one? TIA guys.

A204 460 19 03 (I think this is the standard equipment which i got)
yes its recomended to install this in a MB workshop

Thanks for the reply. Yea I kinda like the non-suade version a little better. How did you get the shift paddels to work? Also what parts did you have to purchase?

Steering Wheel and Airbag
or
Steering Wheel, Airbag, Buttons, and Center Connector?

The reason I ask is because on the MB computer it shows that there are separate pat numbers for the buttons and center connector.

Lastly, does this void the warranty? Thanks!

Daniel
