I'm really liking this steering wheel.
Is it just a simple swap to do it?
and would the paddle shifters work?
because i know the c350 doesnt haave them.

Yep, gorgeous wheel.
Looking at that photo: I don't know how people can give the interior of the C and the C63 a hard time. It's just gorgeous IMHO.

You really think its only around $1200? I don't think so. The wheel on my 07 Avalanche was over $900 and it definitely does not compare to a AMG wheel. I love the shape and the dual texture. I love suede

paddle shifters won't work. although it shouldn't be so hard to retrofit it. i think you just need to tap the wires to gear selector +/- which basically sends electric signal anyways.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
W203 owners have an option
If we could figure out to get a deal like this, I'd be happy. The problem is there probably aren't many cores available yet. I'd want to keep my factory wheel though.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t w204 that have factory wheel paddles come with the tranny that you can set in “M” mode? Keep in mind that we don’t really have a real tiptronic system, we just have those +/- to set a high gear limit, but it will not shift the gear.
I know your question is mainly about the wheel, but if the paddles are you main selling point, I would reconsider.

I wonder how much our fuel costs would go up, for those of us, if we switched from a C300/50 to a C63? Is it about twice as much fuel used maybe?

Well I don't care for the steering wheel (I would very much like to get it though) as much as I do for the paddle shifters.
I do not understand why the paddle shifters would not work. I am going to find out from my dealer if this is possible or if they can retrofit it somehow (or some aftermarket place).
Paddle shifter retro fit is possible for post '99 BMW with steptronic and I refuse to believe it is not for ours.
see this link for the BMW paddle shifter retrofit.

Anyone got any ideas?

Ive got the paddleshift in mine. Cant say its very exciting, but it does work nice on the high way when you need a little bit of extra power. Just put sport mode on, shift back, and add a **** load of throttle.
