need your opinion on tinted tails
I'm going forward on getting my tail lights tinted in a couple weeks (just after getting my windows tinted 27% and a full front end clear bra'ed). It will be done by jonstintedtails.com whom did my previous car and it looks just like new even after more than 6 years of wear and extensive detailing. The tint is not a film but a permanent paint process.
I can't decide whether I want the entire tail light tinted or just the red portion.
Here is my car currently:
Option 1: just the red portion tinted in a light/medium tint
Option 2: the entire tail light tinted in a light/medium tint
Option 3: just the red portion tinted in a medium/dark tint
what do you think?

Hey man thanks for posting this thread. I went to the tinted tails website last nite and I spoke with Jon and I'm gonna go ahead and get the stage 2 medium tinted tails with clear centers. Good price and good turnaround time!

In my opinion, original factory color is best. Sorry to disappoint you, but that's just my 2 cents. Happy tinting

looks like no one likes the all tinted option. Then again the clear backup lights do match the silver paint nicely.
I think I will go with the medium tint only on the red portions so that it will tone down the red and make the exterior cleaner and more monochromatic.
I wanted a dark cherry color like what Jon did on this A4:
Thanks again for your opinions!
I will have my window tint, tails tinted, new wheels, Polarg interior lighting and debadging done in the next couple weeks and I'll definitely take pics.
